Pokémon: Spell of the Unown (2000)

Many myths surround the mysterious and powerful Unown, and Spencer Hale has dedicated his life to researching the subject. But after he disappears without a trace during this research, his daughter Molly is left alone in the world. One day, the saddened Molly wishes she could be reunited with her father, and the Unown grant her wish, creating an imposing Entei so that the Pokémon can become her new father.

But the little girl’s dream world quickly turns into a nightmarish reality. The sleepy town of Greenfield is overgrown by a huge mass of rapidly growing crystals. When Ash, Misty, Brock and Lisa, a recent addition to the team, arrive on the outskirts of town to take a closer look, Ash’s mother, Delia, is kidnapped by Entei to make matters worse. What are the Unown planning to do with her? Ash and his friends set out on the crystalline path of this almost impassable landscape, not knowing what to expect but determined to free Delia, Molly and the entire surroundings of Greenfield from their glittering prison.

Viele Mythen ragen sich um die mysteriösen und mächtigen Icognito und Spencer Hale hat sein Leben der Forschung zu diesem Thema gewidmet. Doch nachdem er bei ebendiesen Untersuchungen spurlos verschwindet, bleibt seine Tochter Molly allein auf der Welt zurück. Eines Tages wünscht sich die von Traurigkeit geplagte Molly, dass sie wieder mit ihrem Vater vereint sein kann, und die Icognito erfüllen ihr ihren Wunsch und erschaffen ein imposantes Entei, damit das Pokémon für sie ihr neuer Vater wird.

Doch die Traumwelt des kleinen Mädchens verwandelt sich schnell in eine albtraumhafte Realität. Der verschlafene Ort Greenfield wird von einem riesigen Teppich aus rasant anwachsenden Kristallen überwuchert. Als Ash, Misty, Rocko und die erst kürzlich hinzugestoßene Trainerin Lisa am Rande der Stadt eintreffen und sich die Sache einmal näher anschauen wollen, wird zu allem Überfluss auch noch Ashs Mutter Delia von Entei entführt. Was planen die Icognito mit ihr zu tun? Ash und seine Freunde begeben sich auf den kristallenen Pfad dieser fast unpassierbaren Landschaft, ohne zu wissen, was sie erwartet, aber trotzdem fest entschlossen, Delia, Molly und die gesamte Umgebung von Greenfield aus ihrem glitzernden Gefängnis zu befreien.

Pero lo impensable ocurre cuando la madre de Ash es raptada por el poderoso Entei, un Pokémon que parecía ser sólo una leyenda con poderes. Ahora Ash debe ir en su rescate, sin saber qué se encontrará en el camino: una niña huérfana cuya vida está siendo transformada en una prisión imaginaria por las místicas fuerzas de los Unown.
