Satoshi Imamiya and Arumi Asahina live in the Abenobashi shopping district in Osaka. One day they are suddenly drawn into a parallel universe, the magical Abenobashi shopping district. They then begin a whacky journey through very confusing and weird parallel universes, in which their friends and acquaintances reappear in ever different roles. They try to escape from these worlds again and again, but instead of always ending up at home as promised, they end up in a parallel world again.
Satoshi Imamiya und Arumi Asahina leben im Abenobashi Einkaufsviertel in Osaka. Eines Tages werden sie plötzlich in ein Paralleluniversum, das magische Abenobashi Einkaufsviertel gezogen. Sodann beginnt für sie eine abgefahrene Reise durch sehr verwirrende und schräge Paralleluniversen, in denen ihre Freunde und Bekannten in immer anderen Rollen wieder auftauchen. Sie versuchen immer wieder diesen Welten zu entfliehen, aber anstatt immer wie versprochen zu Hause zu landen, landen sie abermals wieder in einer Parallelwelt.
Sinopsis:
Sashi Imamiya y Arumi Asahina viven en el distrito comercial Abenobashi de Osaka. Un día de verano los dos chicos son transportados al universo paralelo Mahou Shotengai (Distrito Comercial Mágico), donde el sentido común se encuentra lejos de ser común. Sashi y Arumi son una cómica pareja perdida en un extraño y absurdo mundo alternativo. ¿Podrán regresar a casa?
