18-year-old Chinami Ebihara, who lives in the not-too-distant future, has mysterious powers that allow her to emit electromagnetic waves and manipulate electrical devices. Unluckily, she has no control over her abilities, especially when nervous or anxious. Then, the waves pour out of her and cause massive chaos in her surroundings. Even when rampant emotions do not plague her, she cannot use modern devices normally. As a result, she has often had to change schools and has only recently moved to a new class. There, she is finally observed using her powers by her classmate Koutaro Kannagi, who wants to study her immediately as the leader – and also the only member – of the science club. What the two of them don’t know yet, however, is that a secret organisation is also after Chinami’s “Type E” powers …

Die 18-jährige Chinami Ebihara, die in einer nicht allzu fernen Zukunft lebt, hat mysteriöse Kräfte, mit denen sie elektromagnetische Wellen aussondern und elektrische Geräte manipulieren kann. Allerdings hat sie ihre Fähigkeiten alles andere als unter Kontrolle. Besonders wenn sie nervös oder ängstlich ist, strömen die Wellen nur so aus ihr heraus und sorgen für ein massives Chaos in ihrer Umgebung; doch selbst wenn sie gerade nicht von ausufernden Emotionen geplagt wird, kann sie moderne Geräte nicht normal benutzen. Deswegen musste sie schon oft die Schule wechseln und ist erst kürzlich in eine neue Klasse gekommen. Dort wird sie schließlich von ihrem Mitschüler Koutaro Kannagi beim Einsatz ihrer Kräfte beobachtet, der sie als Leiter – und nebenbei auch einziges Mitglied – des Wissenschaftsclubs sofort studieren möchte. Doch was die beiden noch nicht wissen: Hinter Chinamis »Typ E«-Kräften ist auch eine Geheimorganisation her …

Sinopsis:
Chinami Ebihara es una estudiante de secundaria que emite ondas electromagnéticas cuando sus emociones se alborotan. Las ondas afectan equipos electrónicos como celulares, televisores y computadoras. Su habilidad ocasiona que su familia se mude de un lugar a otro. En el año 2017, la familia de Ebihara se muda de nuevo. En la escuela un niño llamado Kotaro Kannagi se da cuenta de su habilidad y le pregunta si puede estudiarla. Sonomi Kujo, la hija de una familia adinerada que están encantados con Kotaro desde que eran muy jóvenes reaccionan con celos por su interés, mientras Yuma Saihashi, un miko con sus mismos poderes trata de advertirle. Mientras tanto dos extranjeros llegan para espiarla.
