Hyper Police (1997)

“Hyper Police” is set in a post-apocalyptic time. Creatures from ancient lore have appeared and are trying to interact with humans, with the police getting support from various bounty hunters. Other police forces, on the other hand, fight for the rewards they get for apprehending criminals. Few people like the creatures, which is why they rarely want to have anything to do with them.

The story is mainly about a police unit that employs many beasts as officers. Contrast this with the MAD police, which is the regular police force in Shinjuku, so to speak, and consists only of “normal” people.

»Hyper Police« spielt in einer postapokalyptischen Zeit. Kreaturen aus alten Überlieferungen sind erschienen und versuchen mit den Menschen zu interagieren, wobei die Polizei Unterstützung von diversen Kopfgeldjägern bekommt. Andere Polizeistellen hingegen kämpfen um die Belohnung, die sie für die Festnahme von Verbrechern bekommen. Nur wenige Menschen mögen die Kreaturen, weshalb sie auch in den seltensten Fällen mit ihnen zu tun haben wollen.

Die Geschichte handelt hauptsächlich von einer Polizeieinheit, die viele Bestien als Beamte beschäftigt. Im Gegensatz dazu die MAD Polizei, die sozusagen die reguläre Polizei in Shinjuku darstellt und nur aus »normalen« Menschen besteht.
