The Diary of Tortov Roddle (2003)

In this collection of short films, Tortov Roddle is a man who travels through a mysterious country completely without sound. For on his surreal journey, words show up on the screen instead, replacing the sound. Strange things often happen in this world, and its inhabitants are extraordinary. As the lonely man rides his long-legged pig through the desert from town to town, he observes the interesting and bizarre customs of the locals and reminisces about his troubled past.

Tortov Roddle ist ein Mann, der sich in dieser Kurzfilmsammlung völlig ohne Geräusche durch ein mysteriöses Land bewegt. Denn auf seiner surrealen Reise werden stattdessen Worte eingeblendet, die den Ton ersetzen. In dieser Welt passieren häufig seltsame Dinge und ihre Bewohner sind außergewöhnlich. Während der einsame Mann auf seinem langbeinigen Schwein durch die Wüste von Stadt zu Stadt reitet, beobachtet er jene interessanten und skurrilen Bräuche der Einheimischen und schwelgt in Erinnerungen an seine bewegte Vergangenheit.
