Seiya ist eines von vier Mädchen in der siebenköpfigen Gruppe, die sich auf einem Camping-Ausflug in den Bergen befinden. Sie gibt sich etwas distanziert und wirkt oft nachdenklicher als die anderen. Weil sie sich nicht so sehr in den Vordergrund drängt, erscheint sie manchmal wie ein Fremdkörper in der Gruppe, was auch daran liegt, dass es unter den sieben eine Grüppchenbildung gibt, bei der sie dann meist außen vor steht; lediglich Sayaka ist öfter an ihrer Seite und flüchtet immer zu ihr, wenn sie sich fürchtet, außerdem ist da noch Akira, der aber als einziger jeden gleich behandelt.

Ihr geheimer Wunsch nach mehr Akzeptanz bricht sich in ihrer gespaltenen Persönlichkeit Maya ihre Bahn.
