Die Schülerin der Klasse 1-B unter Sportlehrer Saotome ist ein wahres Sportass und zeichnet sich insbesondere in der Leichtathletik aus. Mit sich im Reinen ist Otome Akiyama allerdings nicht, da sie seit ihren Junior Highschool-Tagen keinen Deut größer geworden ist und somit regelmäßig Opfer von Klassenkameradin und Freundin Suzune Shiratori wird - der gefällt nämlich Otomes kleine süße Erscheinung und sie versucht mit Nachdruck daran zu werkeln, dass sie auch in Zukunft nicht größer wird. Was Otome in ziemliche Rage versetzt, denn entgegen ihrem Äußeren, ist sie Hitzkopf und Tomboy zugleich und ständig nur am Herumschimpfen.
