Frau Sakagami ist eine Angestellte in einem kleinen Verlag, wo auch Hachiko eine Zeit lang Arbeit findet. Sie wird Hachiko als Vorarbeiterin zugeteilt und soll ihre Arbeit überwachen. Wie man jedoch schnell merkt, kann Frau Sakagami Hachi kein Stück leiden, überhäuft sie mit Arbeit und versucht sogar Hachis Arbeitsweise beim Chef des Verlages negativ auszulegen, damit Hachi möglichst bald entlassen wird.
