Im Vergleich zu ihrem Partner Shiga ist Kinoshita wesentlich jünger und Kuugen Tenko kommt gleich zur Annahme, dass sie wohl kaum seine Ehefrau sein kann und beide Ehebruch betreiben, was sie jedoch vehement abstreiten. Im Gasthaus Shirakaba Inn der Frau Aya finden sich beide allerdings weniger wohl, da alles, freundlich ausgedrückt, doch recht einfach gehalten ist. Zudem langweilt sich Kinoshita, da die Stadt bzw. das Dorf wohl auch nicht wesentlich mehr zu bieten hat und sie einen Schießstand oder eine Gondelfahrt vermisst. Eine Abreise ist aber auch nicht mehr möglich, da die einzige Straße durch einen Erdrutsch versperrt wurde.
