Ärztin und Wissenschaftlerin Dr. Shizuki leitet, unterstützt mit ihrer Gehilfin Maria, eine medizinische Praxis in der Stadt Arville. Außer in der Behandlung von Krankheiten und Verletzungen kennt sie sich auch ein wenig mit den alten Legenden bezüglich des unweit der Stadt gelegenen Höhlensystems aus. Sie gibt sich meist sachlich und ein wenig distanziert, aber niemals unfreundlich.

Gegenüber Hyde hegt sie zunächst einige Zweifel wegen seiner Motivation, die Höhlen zu erforschen und was er mit Yuura zu tun gedenkt, die er dort gefunden hat. Nachdem sie von seiner Aufrichtigkeit überzeugt ist, beschließt Hyde jedoch, dass sie bei der Gelegenheit auch gleich »richtig« Freundschaft schließen können. Damit hatte Dr. Shizuki zwar nicht gerechnet, dass es ihr missfallen würde, kann man aber auch nicht sagen.
