Miyako ist ein Energiebündel, das in einer großen Familie lebt. Neben ihren Eltern hat sie einen älteren Bruder, Mantarou, und zwei ältere Schwestern, Momoe und Chizuru. Sie besucht die Odaiba-Grundschule und ist Präsident des Computerclubs, den Koushirou früher leitete. Hinter ihrer fröhlichen Fassade macht sie sich viele Gedanken seit sie ihren digitalen Partner Hawkmon kennen lernte und ihr bewusst wurde, dass die digitale Welt kein Spiel ist.
