Der Vater von Hiroshi Miwa glaubt ebenfalls daran, dass sein Sohn ein Held wird (so wie es von Yata-garasu vorhergesagt worden ist), das Monster aus einer Legende der Insel vernichten wird und letztlich auch derjenige sein wird, der den Demon King besiegt. Diesen Glauben trägt auch seine Frau sowie seine kleine Tochter und Schwester Hiroshis, Yukiko, während die anderen Dorfbewohner jenes eher belächeln, da Hiroshi im Dorf nicht gerade als tapferer starker Bursche bekannt ist.
