Hilda Haken ist ein Coordinator (=Genetisch manipulierte Menschen, mit einer höheren Leistungsfähigkeit und Immunität gegen Krankheiten) und ehemalige Elite-Pilotin der ZAFT-Armee und trägt noch immer die rote ZAFT-Uniform.
Politisch stand sie immer auf der Seite des ehemaligen Präsidenten des Hohen Rates von PLANT, Siegel Clyne, welcher versuchte den letzten Krieg diplomatisch zu schlichten. Nachdem nun ein neuer Krieg ausbrach, kämpft Hilda treu an der Seite von Lacus Clyne.

Hilda ist die Anführerin des ZGMF-XX09T DOM Trooper Trio’s, mit Maas Symeon und Herbert von Reinhard.
