Chizuru ist eine junge Schülerin und gute Freundin von Natsuki und Chika. Sie hat eine Scheu vor Wasser und kann daher auch nicht gut schwimmen. Jedoch ist sie ebenso wie ihre beiden Freundinnen Mitglied im Schwimmteam. Sie wird von Chika, und später auch von Tina, im Schwimmen unterrichtet. Trotz ihrer nicht gerade überragenden Leistungen stehen ihre Freundinnen hinter ihr.
