Der Jüngere der beiden Gauner-Brüder sieht sich schon vom Kleinganoven zum Schwerverbrecher werden, weil sein großer Bruder auf das Mitnehmen einer Geisel (Hyatt) bestanden hat. Ihm ist dabei aber gar nicht wohl in seiner Haut, letztlich fügt er sich aber seinem Bruder, schiebt ihm dafür aber auch sämtliche Verantwortung zu und will mit alledem möglichst nichts mehr zu tun haben.
