Makie ist das Oberdienstmädchen im Anwesen der Familie Kusagano. Fürsorglich und mit absoluter Hingabe kümmert sie sich um die schlafende Midori und ist um ihren Zustand genauso besorgt wie deren Mutter Haruka. Midori und Makie sind aber nicht nur junge Herrin und Bedienstete, sondern darüber hinaus auch gut miteinander befreundet. Makie brachte ihr alle möglichen Haushaltstätigkeiten bei, auch wenn sie als Mädchen aus gutem und reichem Hause nie dafür die Notwendigkeit hatte, wie das Kochen, Putzen oder Wäschemachen. Sie ist natürlich ebenso bestürzt als sie Seiji vor ihrem Bett stehen sieht und dieser gerade auffällige Handbewegungen macht.
