Akihiko Kira ist der neue Direktor der Seiso Academy und Sohn des Gründers der Schule. Er soll die finanziellen Probleme der Schule lösen und nimmt darum wenig Rücksicht auf die Gefühle der Schüler. Deshalb verbietet er Kahoko auch, bei dem Konzert ein Teil des Ensembles zu sein. Er ist sehr zielstrebig und kann streng sein. Trotzdem hat er auch einen Fehler: Es fällt ihm schwer sich Gesichter zu merken.

Zwar half Lili bei der Schulgründung, doch hat Akihiko zu ihm ein sehr gespaltenes Verhältnis. Er ist die einzige bekannte Person neben Kahoko, die Lili sehen kann.

Aus seiner Vergangenheit ist nur bekannt, dass er einst mit Hiroto Kanazawa zur Schule gegangen war, wobei sie nicht in der selben Altersstufe waren. Er spielte früher mal Violine, hat dies aber aus unbekanntem Grund aufgegeben.
