Ayano ist in der ersten Klasse der Oberstufe und geht an die gleiche Schule wie Miyabi Yunoki. Sie selbst wurde als Heiratskandidatin für Azuma Yunoki von seiner Großmutter ausgewählt und ist auch deren Favoritin. Sie kommt aus aus einer reicheren Familie, hat gute Zensuren und sieht sehr gut aus.

Azuma hat sie mit 10 Jahren kennengelernt und seitdem ist sie hoffnungslos und selbstaufgebend in ihn verliebt. So spricht Ayano von sich selbst nur in der dritten Person, da sie sich ihm voll und ganz unterordnet. Sie würde selbst mit ihm zusammen sein wollen, wenn er mit jemand anderen verheiratet ist. Erst später kann sie etwas zur Einsicht gebracht werden, dass man so nicht lieben kann.
