Jason Ozumas Mama-san ist die Ehefrau von Herrn Hachinohe und arbeitet als Näherin und Aushilfe im Hachinohe Boxing Gym. Sie ist eine sehr fürsorgliche Frau, die aufopfernd die kaputten Sandsäcke flickt, wenn Jason mal wieder einen mit seinen vernichtenden Haken-Schlägen beschädigt hat. Man sieht ihr ihre Erschöpfung förmlich an den Händen an, die übersäht sind von Pflastern und Wunden. Aus diesem Grund möchte Jason auch unter allen Umständen Weltmeister im Federgewicht werden, damit seine verehrte Mama-san nicht mehr so hart für ihren Lebensunterhalt arbeiten muss.
