Yasuko ist die beste Freundin von Moto Tonomura und geht mit ihr gemeinsam zur Schule. Auf der Junior High war sie noch genauso verschlossen wie Moto, doch als sie mit Masami Saotome zusammenkam, öffnete sie sich. Nachdem sie aber ihre Jungfräulichkeit verlor, ging sie ihrem Freund andauernd fremd, weshalb die Beziehung endete. Da sie sich für diese Trennung schuldig fühlt, mag sie nicht, wenn sie auf diese Vergangenheit hingewiesen wird und reagiert daher abweisend, wenn es darum geht, dass sie und Saotome mal ein Paar waren. Sie kümmert sich dennoch sehr gut um Moto und bemüht sich ihr immer eine gute Freundin zu sein.
