Anders als Kenzo Tenma, der die Methoden seines Chefs für sehr fragwürdig hält, da dieser nicht an den Leben seiner Patienten interessiert ist, sondern viel mehr nach Macht und Ruhm strebt, akzeptiert Boyer die Methoden und denkt sogar ähnlich wie sein Chef. Da er und Heinemann ähnlich über den Wert eines Menschen denken, verstehen die beiden sich auch sehr gut, weswegen er, obwohl Kenzos Fähigkeiten als Arzt deutlich besser sind als Boyers, mit der vollen Unterstützung von Heinemann rechnen kann.
