Der Onkel von Mitaka taucht aus heiterem Himmel bei ihm auf, mit der Absicht ihm eine Braut zu finden. Nachdem er ihm die junge Asuna Kujo vorstellt, die seinen Ansprüchen vollends entspricht, bedrängt er Mitaka ununterbrochen damit sie zu heiraten. Seiner hartnäckigen Art sind alle Mittel recht; so redet er hinter dem Rücken von Mitaka mit den Eltern von Asuna und schafft es sogar ein Treffen der Eltern von den beiden zu arrangieren.
