Da er ständig versucht sein Kapital zu erweitern, will er unbedingt das Grundstück, welches Badwicks Eltern gehört, für sich haben. Aufgrund der Vegetation, welche auf diesem Grundstück Pflanzen wachsen lässt, die in diesem Zeitalter sehr selten und wertvoll geworden sind, versucht er es zunächst mit seinen Überzeugungskünsten, da dies aber nicht gelingen will, will er es sich mit Gewalt holen. Der Grund, weswegen man ihm das Land nicht geben will, ist, da er das Land aufgrund mangelndem Interesse und Fürsorge eingehen lassen würde.
