Das Schiff, welches das Projekt »Samen« trägt, dieses führt er an. In diesem Schiff sind menschliche Gene enthalten, die in der Galaxis verbreitet werden sollen. Die Leute, welche nicht im eisigen Schlaf liegen, also auch er, könnte man auch als die Aufpasser der Samen bezeichnen. Die Welt, in der er lebte, wurde von den Menschen selbst vernichtet, das weiß er auch aber das Projekt »Samen« existiert als eine Art Hoffnung, um die sterbende Rasse weiterhin am Leben erhalten zu können. Dieses Unterfangen will er auch unbedingt erfolgreich abschließen, denn davon hängt die Zukunft der Menschheit ab.
