Alfred ist der letzte Überlebende der 730 Mafias - so wurde eine bestimmte Gruppierung genannt, die aus einer gemeinsamen Klasse stammten und alle aus dieser Klasse brachten es im Militär sehr weit. Seine eigenen Fähigkeiten schätzt er nicht sehr hoch ein, höchstens etwas über dem Durchschnittssoldaten, dank seines Vorgesetzten Bruce Ashbey, der auch gleichzeitig ein sehr guter Freund von ihm war, gelang es ihm aber, weit aufzusteigen. In seiner damaligen Einheit konnte man ihn als das Bindemitglied zählen, er hat mit all seinen Kollegen immer geredet und kannte daher die Stärken und Schwächen jeder Person, die er dann in Schlachten zu nutzen wusste. Inzwischen ist er im Ruhestand und lebt gemeinsam mit seiner Familie ein sehr ruhiges und friedvolles Leben.
