Kurz nachdem ihr kleiner Bruder verstarb und einen Sohn zurückließ, stand für Kaho felsenfest, dass sie sich dem Baby annimmt und wie ihr eigenes Kind großziehen wird. Dieser Junge trägt den Namen Youhei und ist mittlerweile ein stattlicher junger Mann geworden, weshalb Kaho nun auch beschließt ihm die ganze Wahrheit über seine Herkunft offen zu legen, denn er hat ein Recht darauf diese zu erfahren. Nach dem verständlichen ersten Schock, steht für Kaho, Youhei und Kahos leibliche Tochter Fumika fest, dass sie trotz allem noch eine Familie sind und derartige Kleinigkeiten auch nichts daran ändern. Zumindest fast nichts, denn da jetzt klar ist, dass sie doch nicht ganz so eng verwandt sind, beginnt Youhei auch seine Mutter als Frau zu sehen und Kaho ist ebenfalls bereit sich die Liebe und Zuneigung ihres Sohnes in jeder nur erdenklichen Art und Weise zu sichern, zumal in Ikue eine seit langem verhasste Konkurrentin auftaucht und versucht Kahos kleine Familie, die zweifellos ihr ein und alles ist, zu entzweien.
