Dieser junge Mann übernimmt die Nachfolge des in Rente gegangen Herrn Kashiwagi. Er wirkt dermaßen glatt-poliert und trägt ein solch schmieriges Lächeln im Gesicht, dass er schon auf den ersten Blick nur bedingt sympathisch wirkt und es dementsprechend äußerst zweifelhaft ist, ob der junge Masayuki Asahina sein Darlehen bekommt, dass er so dringend für die Gründung seines eigenen Restaurants benötigt. Eigentlich dachte Masa sowieso bereits, dass alles geklärt gewesen wäre, nur leider wurde der Vertrag, den er mit Herrn Kashiwagi erörtert hatte, noch nicht gänzlich abgeschlossen.
