Carter ist der Trainer der Memphis Bats und auch wenn er sieht, dass seine Spieler halbherzig spielen, wirklich wichtig ist ihm das nicht. Spieler einer Minor League Mannschaft haben immer nur das Aufsteigen in die Major League im Kopf. Darunter leidet dann auch ihr Spiel, allerdings sagt ihr Trainer dann nichts gegen diese Spielweise, einfach um das Spiel nicht noch schlechter zu machen. genau wie die alle anderen Spieler ist nämlich auch er der Ansicht, dass ein Minor League Spiel nicht wirklich wichtig ist.
