Die Begegnung mit einer Passantin verunsichert sie sehr, denn diese scheint nicht ganz normal zu sein. Nicht nur dass sie vollkommen zerfetzte Klamotten trägt, auch scheint sie geistig abwesend und damit nicht ansprechbar zu sein, was Kim große Angst einjagt. Dass es sich bei dieser Frau um einen Ghul handelt, kann sie in dem Moment nicht wissen, da die Existenz solcher Monster geheimgehalten wird. Nach diesem Vorfall interessiert sie sich viel mehr für Vampire und ist seither der Ansicht, dass man das Zivilvolk über dieses Thema nicht im Unklaren lassen darf.
