In ihrem Bestreben, für den bevorstehenden Kampf gegen den von Dune gesandten Desert Devil stärker zu werden, müssen sich PreCure im Precure Palace einer Prüfung unterziehen. Dabei werden sie mit ihren Schatten bzw. ihrem Spiegelbild konfrontiert, den düsteren Aspekten ihrer Persönlichkeit.

Cure Moonlights Schatten repräsentiert ihren tiefen Schmerz über den Verlust ihres Partners Cologne und dass sie mit ihrem zerrissenen Herz niemals wieder eine vollwertige PreCure sein kann. Anstatt sich von Trauer und Verzweiflung lähmen zu lassen, will Yuri ihren Schmerz so lange tragen, bis er sich eines Tages in Liebe verwandelt.
