Der schwarze Shinigami-Kater Daniel ist ständiger Begleiter der Todesgöttin Momo. Er besitzt Fledermaus-Flügel und ist von einer Licht-Aura umgeben, die aber genauso wie er selbst für die meisten Menschen unsichtbar ist.

Daniel treibt gerne kleine harmlose Scherze mit den Sterblichen und ist auch nie um einen frechen Spruch verlegen - obwohl er keine normale Katze ist spiegelt sich in seinem Verhalten die Verspieltheit dieser Tiere wieder - damit stellt er einen Gegensatz zu der meist melancholisch gestimmten Momo dar.
