Als Schüler Zokugakus, die für ihre eher gewaltbereiten Schüler sehr bekannt ist, ist auch Jou einer direkten Auseinandersetzung nicht abgeneigt. Auf dieser Schule ist es auch eher so üblich, weswegen bevorzugt zur Gewalt gegriffen wird, als das Gespräch zu suchen. Auch auf dem Spielfeld ist das nicht anders, wenn ihm etwas missfällt, spricht er seine Unzufriedenheit auch sehr offen aus und wäre einer Schlägerei auch zu keiner Zeit abgeneigt.
