Schülerin Yumi überbrückt die Ereignislosigkeit einer Zugfahrt, indem sie ihre Kopfhörer aufsetzt und sich bei der Musik entspannt, bis sie an der Zielstation angekommen ist. Sie gerät jedoch in den Fokus von Belästigern, zuerst wird sie Opfer von Katsuhiko, dem sie später zufällig im Supermarkt begegnet, ihn dabei aber nicht wiedererkennt, sondern ihn für einen zuvorkommenden, netten jungen Mann hält. Sie verliebt sich sogar ihn in, nachdem der sie vor einigen Vergewaltigern rettet, die sie mitten im Zug in ein abgedunkeltes Abteil verschleppt hatten und dann über sie herfielen. Von dieser Erfahrung hat sie ohne Zweifel einen Knacks abbekommen, der sich aber nicht in einem Trauma manifestiert, sondern darin, dass sie nun selbst anfängt, Frauen im Zug unsittlich anzufassen.
Fortan hat sie einen anderen Zeitvertreib als Musik hören gefunden, und zwar einen, den sie mit ihrem geliebten Katsuhiko teilen kann, dem sie völlig verfallen ist.
