Eigentlich ist der junge Detektiv Kyousuke Mibu nur auf der Suche nach einem Weg zurück in die Zivilisation, als er nach der Begegnung mit einem Stiermonster mitten im dichtesten Wald auf eine scheinbar verlassene Villa stößt. Noch überraschter ist er, als die Bewohnerin des Hauses, Yukino, vor ihm steht, denn er hat sie bereits zuvor in Alpträumen gesehen, in denen sie sexuell missbraucht wurde. Nachdem Yukinos Mutter Ruriko ihm Einlass gewährt und eine Übernachtung anbietet, beginnt Kyousuke langsam ein ungutes Gefühl bezüglich Yukino zu beschleichen. Dieses Gefühl wird bestätigt, als er am nächsten Morgen Zeuge eines Übergriffs des Unmenschen Mushizo auf Yukino wird. Obwohl Kyousuke seine Hilfe anbietet, erfährt er von Yukino nur Zurückweisung.

Konträr zu seinem Verlangen, Yukino zu schützen, hat Kyousuke auch eine lüsterne, sadistische Seite. Diese lässt er allerdings nur gegenüber Yukinos kleiner Schwester Ai hervorkommen, wobei er in solchen Momenten wie in Trance wirkt und Ai für ihren angeblich schlechten Charakter bestrafen will. Mushizo zieht in Betracht, dass Kyousuke nicht der gute Mensch ist, als der er gemeinhin auftritt, Ruriko dagegen nimmt an, Kyousuke sei lediglich Ais Charme erlegen.
