Hana lebt in Shimabara, dem Freudenviertel von Kyoto, in einem Geishahaus. Dort ist sie, gemeinsam mit Saya, die Auszubildende von Akesato.
Sie ist das komplette Gegenteil von Saya: wild, laut und selbstbwusst. Allerdings kann sie auch keine Schwerter leiden, da ihre Mutter an einer Krankheit gestorben ist, weil ihr Vater sein Schwert nicht verkaufen wollte, um den Arzt bezahlen zu können.
