Für seine Bekannte und Kommilitonin Chidori übernimmt Student Atsushi einen Nachhilfejob bei der Familie Kumagai, denn wenn Chidori ihn um etwas bittet, sagt er niemals Nein, und strengt sich sogar noch besonders an. Er hat sie sehr gerne, behält seine Gefühle aber für sich, da er weiß, dass sie einen Freund hat. Die Art der Nachhilfe, die er Arisa Kumagai und im weiteren Verlauf auch Nachbarstochter Maya Satou zuteil werden lässt, geht jedoch bald über das Schulische hinaus und die Mütter der beiden zeigen darüber hinaus ebenfalls ein weiter gehendes Interesse an ihm. Anfangs macht er sich noch Sorgen, wohin das alles führen soll, doch es dauert nicht lang bis er in seiner Rolle als Hausfreund voll aufgeht.
