Aki ist die heißblütige Leiterin des Detektiv-Klubs und leicht an dem Monokel in ihrem Auge und ihrer lauten Stimme zu erkennen. Als die Schülerin Himiko Sakae während einer Veranstaltung vor den Augen der gesamten Schülerschaft von einem Phantom entführt wird, sieht sie die große Chance für ihren Klub gekommen. Der hatte in den 75 Jahren seines Bestehens erst sieben Fälle und ist somit ein ziemliches Gespött an der Schule. Keisuke, den sie sonst eher an der kurzen Leine hält, hat das zweifelhafte Vergnügen den Großteil ihrer Arbeit zu übernehmen, da sie sich eher als »Watson« der Gruppe sieht und lediglich beraten will.

In Wahrheit will Aki deshalb nicht ermitteln, weil sie mit dem Phantom unter einer Decke steckt. Die ganze Entführung hat sie gemeinsam mit der Leiterin der Theater-AG vorgetäuscht, um Keisukes detektivische Fähigkeiten unter möglichst realen Bedingungen auf die Probe zu stellen.
