Dafür, dass der selbstverliebte Möchtegernmagier Nikaidou so große Töne spuckt, hat er ziemlich wenig auf dem Kasten. Der einzige Grund, warum er überhaupt zur Entführung von Himiko Sakae durch eine Phantom-Magierin befragt wurde, dürfte sein Amt als Leiter des Phantom-Magie-Klubs sein. Lediglich die einfach gestrickte Suzuko fällt auf seine billigen Tricks rein, was bei der Verwandlung eines quer gestreiften Tuches in ein längs gestreiftes auch kaum anders zu erwarten war. Tatsächlich ist seine »Magie« so lahm, dass die Bezeichnung Taschenspielertrick eine Beleidigung für jeden Taschenspieler wäre. Selbst Nikaidous Kostüm ist ein schlechter Witz, denn anders als seine Vorgänger trägt er kein stylisches Phantomgewand, sondern hat sich mit Klebeband gelbe Fransen an die Ärmel gepappt.
