Nabe ist der Besitzer einer Fleischerei, welche auch Daikichi und Rin nicht unbekannt ist, und kennt Sayakas Vater schon seit der gemeinsamen Schulzeit. Wie dieser hat auch er ein Kind, welches erst kürzlich eingeschult wurde, lernt daher auch Daikichi auf einen der Schulevents kennen und freundet sich schnell mit diesem an. Übrigens ist ihm Nobu förmlich aus dem Gesicht geschnitten und es bedarf nicht einmal einer Vorstellung um herauszufinden, dass es sich bei den beiden um Vater und Sohn handelt.
