Sakakibara ist Arzt in einem Krankenhaus und scheint sich um seine Patienten sehr gut zu sorgen. Besonders ein junges Mädchen, das nur noch knapp ein halbes Jahr zu leben hat, scheint sein Herz erobert zu haben. Mit der Zeit stellt sich allerdings heraus, dass es seine Tochter ist, die dort von ihm behandelt wird und von der er sich so langsam verabschieden muss. Das fällt ihm sehr schwer und er würde für seine Tochter alles tun, bloß damit sie überleben kann.
