Zu der Zeit als Chiyoko Fujiwara gerade erst mit ihrer Karriere als Schauspielerin beginnt, gilt Eiko Shimao als der Star des Studios Gin’ei. Ein entsprechend divenhaftes Auftreten legt sie hin, verhält sich häufig besonders hochnäsig gegenüber Anfängern und anderen Crewmitgliedern und hält nicht lange hinter dem Berg, dass sie keine Intention verspürt mit irgendwelchen Amateuren zusammen zu arbeiten. Allerdings muss auch Eiko kurz darauf feststellen, dass Chiyoko ein Talent für die Schauspielkunst aufweist und ihr früher oder späteren droht den Rang abzulaufen. So verwundert es kaum, dass in Eiko immer stärker die Eifersucht ob Chiyokos Jugend und dem eigenen Fall sprudelt.
