Nach dem Tod ihres Sohnes möchte sie sich gerne um die Erziehung ihrer Enkelin kümmern, zu der sie vorher nie den Kontakt suchte. Mit ihrer Schwiegertochter versteht sie sich nämlich nicht sonderlich gut und da Flora die Tochter von Anna ist, wollte sie auch ihre Enkelin lange Zeit nicht sehen. Die Probleme in der Ehe ihres Sohnes waren ihr bekannt, für diese macht sie aber lediglich ihre Schwiegertochter verantwortlich, obwohl sie im Klaren darüber ist, dass ihr Sohn ein Alkoholproblem hatte.
