Diese Maschine entstammt dem Team von Shinsei Industries unter Führung von Jan Neumann, mit dem Testpiloten Isamu Alva Dyson am Steuer. Es steht mit dem Typ YF-21 von General Galaxy in Konkurrenz um die Nachfolge der berühmten VF-11 Thunderbolt. In technischen Belangen der Thunderbolt selbsterklärend deutlich überlegen, bleibt es beim alten Muster mit Steuerknüpel etc. und ist somit vollkommen von den Künsten des Piloten abhängig. In diesem Sinne ist Isamu für die Maschine prädestiniert, jedoch neigt er in gewisser Weise zur Übertreibung, was insbesondere Jan Neumann mächtig ins Schwitzen bringt, denn Geld für große Reparaturen ist keines mehr da und Zeit sowieso nicht. Wie bereits üblich verfügt auch die YF-19 über die drei unterschiedlichen Modi (einen Kampfjet-Modus, einen Mecha-Modus sowie einen Hybrid-Modus).
