Yumi Komagata war eine Oiran (eine Art Geisha höchsten Ranges) und lebte in Shin-Yoshiwara. Nach der Meiji-Restauration wurden Prostituierte von der neuen Regierung wie Nutztiere behandelt. Da Yumi sich dies aber nicht gefallen lassen wollte, schloss sie sich Makoto Shishio an. Nun ist sie die treue Gefährtin von Shishio, vergöttert ihn und würde alles für ihn tun.
