Die frühere Kapitänin des Fechtclubs an Umis Schule gehört zu den Menschen, die am stärksten in Umi das Gefühl von Heimweh hervorrufen, wenn sie sich an sie erinnert. Sie betrachtet sie als großes Vorbild und während ihres Aufenthalts in Cephiro auch als Sinnbild für ihren Wunsch, wieder nach Tokyo zurückzukehren. Beim gemeinsamen Training nannte Umi sie immer „Buchou“ aufgrund ihrer Position in der Mannschaft, doch obwohl Hasegawa nicht auf dieser Anrede bestand, blieb Umi immer dabei, weil sie sie so sehr bewundert.
