Fräulein Umeko Kojima ist Lehrerin an der Kawakami Academy (川神院) für Geschichte und unter anderem auch für die Aufsicht des Bogenschieß-Klubs verantwortlich. Unter ihren Schülern wird sie für eine Art Dämon gehalten, woher auch ihr Spitzname »Oni Kojima« (鬼小島) stammt, da ihre rabiaten und brutalen Unterrichtsmethoden, die sie gnadenlos mit ihrer wahrhaftigen Peitsche durchsetzt, nicht bei jedem Anklang finden. Sie ist übrigens 28 Jahre alt, ledig und liebt Reis-Kekse über alles.
