Purohen ist ein kleiner lebendiger Gummiball, der in Ixias Zylinder wohnt. Sowohl er als auch Zauberstab Wellie »erwachen« erst, nachdem Ixia gelernt hat, die Gefühle ihrer Mitmenschen zu respektieren, so wie es ihre Meisterin prophezeit hatte. Den Miniatur-Zylinder trägt Ixia ganz normal auf dem Kopf, doch wenn Purohen hervor kommt, sitzt der Hut stattdessen auf seiner Stirn und er wiederum auf Ixias Haupt. Dort ist auch sein bevorzugter Platz, er kann aber auch dank seiner Elastizität quirlig durch die Gegend hüpfen, wovon er gelegentlich Gebrauch macht, wenn er aufgeregt ist. Für Ixia ist er eine Art Maskottchen und seelische Unterstützung, der seine Meisterin vehement verbal verteidigt, wenn es die Situation erfordert, auch wenn er nichts außer dem Wort »Purohen« hervor bringt.
