Aufgrund seiner Hautfarbe wird er von den meisten Menschen im eigenen Land schlechter behandelt. Um dieser Diskriminierung ein Ende zu setzen, beschäftigte sich Doktor Mumba intensiv mit der Fähigkeit eines Chamäleons. Genau wie dieses Tier will er den dunkelhäutigen Menschen durch sein Mittel die Möglichkeit bieten, die eigene Farbe zu wechseln, um weiteren Diskriminierungen zu entgehen. Ihm gelang es und nach seiner lange Forschung schaffte er es, ein Mittel herzustellen.
