Kouta ist ein Klassenkamerad und Freund von Hide. Als Hide von seiner Schwester zur Schule gefahren wird, verliebt er sich sofort in die hübsche Moe. Da er ihr seitdem verfallen ist, lässt er sogar alles stehen und liegen, als sie ihn einmal um seine Hilfe bittet.

Er ist im Gegensatz zu Hide ziemlich aufbrausend und impulsiv und geht damit seinem Freund des Öfteren auf die Nerven. Allerdings kann Kouta ziemlich gut mit Computern umgehen, er entwirft beispielsweise das Flugblatt, welches verteilt wird, um ein neues Zuhause für die vier Katzenbabys zu finden. Auch Kouta hat ein Haustier, einen verfressenen Hamster namens Daifuku.
