Yoshimi ist eine gute Freundin von Ryunosuke Natsume und nimmt ihn auf den Sommerausflug zum Strand mit, weil ihr Onkel Shinichi dort ein Haus hat. Mit Ryus „Schwester“ Nuku Nuku freundet sie sich schnell an, obwohl ihre übermenschlichen Fähigkeiten ein gewöhnungsbedürftiger Faktor bleiben. Yoshimi steht eindeutig auf Ryus Seite, was die Zankereien zwischen dessen Vater und Mutter angeht und da er bei Kyusaku bleiben will, empfindet Yoshimi ebenso. Akiko macht sie sich allerdings mittels einer „kleinen“ Gehirnwäsche kurzzeitig zur Verbündeten, weil sie offenbar in ihr schon ihre zukünftige Schwiegertochter sieht.
